Masterbate With Flashlight

fashion show F & F - Autumn / Winter 2010

Better late than never, therefore, some observations of what has happened a few days ago on Torwar. I had the pleasure to take part there, for the second time in the fashion show F & F. Overall positive impression. Wonderful organization, catwalk, stage design, lights and music and casting a climate of New York City charm. Each installment of the collection was very diverse. For my tastes the best hit knitted dresses, tunics, sweaters and a huge ethereal, translucent blouses with bows or żabotami.

After the show was time to meet and talk among fashion bloggers. It was very nice and I'm glad that I could meet another girl personally.

And at the end of that post was fasting szafiarskim dress from the show. Pictures solo there, but it is a nice duet with Zuzia .

Saudakova servant girl jde spät

When I first saw photographs of John Saudaka , I felt like Alice in Wonderland Czech. Sweet and bitter land of strong beer hop, where the bitterness of naked truth about ourselves is sweetened cukierkowymi colors, maybe after this, that was easier to swallow.

Saudaka work, although sometimes questionable showing the beauty of the human body included in a naturalistic lens, however, have had something attractive and do not allow them to pass by with indifference. Quiet, yet sensitive approach to the photographed people and places, is perhaps what touched a small part of my Slavic soul. Exactly is a place where there is awareness that life is basically boring, and the ugly reality of what, and so does not prevent us to live with all your strength and find the grim reality all the colors of passion, love and lust.

maid goes to sleep a series of photographs from 1980 that do not know why I especially liked. Maid like Hrabal's books removed from a magical, wonderful Prague. It is in that person something that makes it easy I can imagine myself in that role. Dobrou night dear, I wish you a beautiful dream.

Heavy Bleeding On Noriday

Yoga cats and dogs

May 13 is considered unlucky day, especially if it just falls on Friday. For me - a day like every day, but in order not to waste such a cool date decided to place a note on the cats. And dogs. And certainly not black, although sometimes too. Here and there.

I know that some of my notes, especially those relating to cultural events, writing long after the fact, but only sometimes this is due to laziness. In most cases, ciekawiących information about things or events I find quite by chance, and unfortunately this is rarely the case coincides with the "release" of these.

Unfortunately my snail's reflex is also revealed in the case calendar for 2010 issued by the couple from Texas - Dan and Alejandra Borris. By the way the calendar showed up in late October and November last year in a time when I took very active blog. Calendar with dogs stacked in yoga was the idea of \u200b\u200ba photographer Dan and his wife, Alejandra, yoga trainer, who were inspired by the story of his friend with Joy and her dog Otis Bull Terrier breed Angielski.

Joy practiced yoga every morning, in which a very active part of its floating around on the dog between her legs, indeed licking her face, when he performed the more complicated the position of standing on its head. After some time, Joy noted that the dog does not only interfere with morning gymnastics, but he begins to bend his body by imitating its owner. Over time, items that received Otis became more sophisticated, finally we can say that has mastered doggie-yoga. Unfortunately, before we came to the project calendar uprawiającymi yoga with their dogs, Otis has gone to doggy heaven. Dan and Alejandra inspired by his character to seek out other dogs, which could pose for photos and found a few cute animals, whose photographs of bizarre items straight from the flyer wellness of body and mind (of course, worked in Photoshop) is available for purchase on the Internet.

Psi calendar created a sensation around the world and lived to see the version of your cat, but I personally as affiliated psiara think that lazy cats at most, are able to set foot behind your head and not practicing yoga. Next year the couple is planning a calendar of puppy-yoga, so I know what the whole of the next year will be hanging on my wall.

woman who rose to DNA

Genetics is the last time one of the most important and probably the fastest growing fields in biology and medicine. Who has not heard about stem cells, transgenic food and increasingly popular genetic testing to determine fatherhood? I guess everyone older than 12 years knows what DNA and what function it performs in all living organisms. But I can bet that hardly anyone knows the story of Rosalind Franklin - a woman whose research on the structure of DNA are the basis of everything we know today about this remarkable chemical.

Rosalind Franklin was born in 1920 in London and from an early age showed an interest in science. At age 21 she graduated from Newnham College. Obtaining a degree at the time of World War II contributed for a career in the British Society for Research Coal utilization and the studies that were conducted there, the nucleus of a dissertation, which she completed five years later a doctorate in the field of physical chemistry at Cambridge University. In January 1951 she started work at King's College London, where her immediate boss was Maurice Wilkins, who at that time dealt with rentgenograficznymi research on the structure of DNA. Rosalind Franklin Wilkins continued its pioneering experiments, while improving the way a very modern X-ray crystallography at that time . It was Franklin perseverance in improving research methodology has been key to the discovery of DNA structure. Previously it was thought that deoxyribonucleic acid (DNA) is a kind of bond linking protein molecules, although it was not known how. When they discovered that the four nitrogenous bases - adenine, thymine, guanine and cytosine - are responsible for the transmission of genetic information began to wonder how all these elements are interconnected.

To solve this puzzle to a great extent contributed the results of Rosalind Franklin. Roentgenograms of the sodium salt of DNA taken by Franklin provide evidence that the molecule has a helical structure. Famous photo 51 of 1952., Which Wilkins showed James D. Watson without knowledge, let alone consent, Rosalind Franklin became the basis Watson spark of genius (not without the help of Wilkins, who explained to him basic laws of diffraction, which is based on the method of X-ray crystallography).

Big X, which was printed in the X-ray, according to the laws of physics came from the rays reflected from each atom molecule to build a helix. Watson was not yet noticed that this is a double helix. Clearer structure in the shape of diamonds above, below and on the sides of the shape of X according to Watson, was a reflection of helix extension, though today, experts know that they come from regularly repeating sugar-phosphate structure located on the outer ends of the DNA. Different shades of gray in the picture correspond to the strata through which the radiation had to pass. In this way the researchers were able to calculate distance between molecules. An important detail is the lack of the fourth layer (layer 4), due to the fact that it was in that place intersect two helices.

Watson, who had been with Francis Crick worked on defining the structure of DNA, photography and shared their thoughts with a colleague and together they managed to build a correct model of DNA. Considerable knowledge on this subject is also provided them with a report to the Medical Research Council written by Franklin in 1952., Which included the information about the phosphate particles are outside the DNA ladder. Earlier, Watson and Crick has long rejected this theory, which, for what was excellent chemist Franklin
is quite obvious - hydrophilic rules should be placed inside the shell of hydrophobic sugar-phosphate, in order to protect them, the more so because after all they are factors encoding genes. When, however, failed to create a model of nitrogen bases on the outside, have benefited from the opinion of Rosalind Franklin. We all know the result.

25 April 1953 year Nature published the article describing the model of DNA built by Watson and Crick. The authors are not taken into account the person in it, Rosalind Franklin, as a key to this discovery, although they mentioned that benefited from her research in creating the model. In the same issue of Nature also included Franklin article about the structure of DNA containing a roentgenogram made by it that treat editors as a support for the main article in the Watson and Crick. Sam Franklin wrote that Mr Watson and Crick played an important role in this groundbreaking discovery. Maybe that's why today, everyone knows their names, but totally do not know who was Rosalind Franklin.

sad thing is that when Watson, Crick and Wilkins received in 1962 years Nobel Prize in medicine for his research on nucleic acids, Rosalind Franklin had not lived for four years. She died at age 37 of ovarian cancer, which most likely was caused by continuous exposure to X-rays.

Bertolli - the passion for perfection

I love butter and I love Bertolli television advertising of its products. Are evidence of how using the recipient's sense of humor can be a smart way to encourage the purchase of ordinary food products.

History goes back 150 years. It all began in 1865. in the small Tuscan town of Lucca where marriage Francesco and Caterina Bertolli opened in his home shop, which sold its own olive oil production. Since then the company has grown to international scale and now in its offer is not only oil, but different types of pasta sauces, butter and salad dressings.

Queen Mary's Dolls' House

long weekend weather despite revolting zaobfitował a sightseeing tour, which was the first point of locking Windsor , currently considered to be the largest inhabited castle in the world. Built in XI. by William the Conqueror , developed over centuries by successive rulers, is a favorite resting place of Queen Elizabeth II , which not only likes to spend weekends at the castle free of duties a head of state, but also very happy there, the official visitors from around the world.
I must admit that Windsor Castle me enthralled. Not only his quiet dignity, but above all that, despite the splendor of royal komnatom competent full of antique furniture and paintings, felt that this place alive. Lives "ordinary" life house, where the cooks, washes, it meals with family and reading a book in the evening. Of course, this impression can only be a figment of my imagination, exuberant, because the ticket did not include the private royal apartments, and only part of the museum.

Among the impressive collection of paintings by Rubens and van Dyck, elaborately decorated with French and English furniture, silver tableware and beautifully hand-painted porcelain, among the whole set of weapons from successive epochs, and gifts and knowledge of the Far East was an exhibit, which is especially caught my attention. House Queen Mary's Doll .
Queen Mary's Dolls' House certainly is not your typical toy for girls who love to play with dolls. Provides masterpiece in miniature reproduction room castle from the early XX century, almost perfectly so that we can not imagine how people lived and lived (though perhaps not so ordinary people) in tamym time.

She is a gift for the Queen Mary, wife of the then English king George V , in the form of dolls house was Princess Mary Louise (Princess Marie Louise of Schleswig-Holstein). Marie Louise's cousin knows the Queen Mary's penchant for miniature things decided to give her something unusual and to that end then hired one of the greatest architects Sir Edwin Lutyens , who worked for over 3 years (1921 - 1924) and with the participation of more than 1,500 other people, including carpenters, tailors and other artisans has created perhaps the most world-famous doll's house. House, built in scale 1:12 , having its own network of electricity, hot and cold running water and toilets, which can drain the water. Carpets and curtains are made with exactly the same materials which were used in the castle, in the library are miniature works of literature, books not only English, and the basement hides a pretty fair supply of wine bottles stoppered. In my opinion - a masterpiece.
