11th in Poland November is the day National Independence Day, which was set after the First World War. 11.XI.1918 Germany signed the surrender on the western front in the Polish General Jozef Pilsudski was military commander and head of state. These two important historical events influenced the choice of 11th November as our national holiday.
But that day is also available in other countries it is celebrated in a special way. And so the British Isles (as in Canada and Belgium), November eleventh falls Remembrance Day, the Day of Remembrance.
